Boy begs in Britain

Panaroma's John Sweeney manages to trace down a young boy, who begs on the streets of London to his family's home town in Romania.

He confronted his family and relatives about why they allow a little young boy to beg on the streets of London, when they seem to have everything. Yes, he reported the relatives drive a BMW and own 2 homes, even including their own luxury villa. He wanted to ask the famliy why that young boy spends many hours begging in Britain when they seem to be doing just fine in Romania?

A female member of the family made this difficul for Sweeney when she threatened him: 'Go away or i'll smash your head in' was what she said many times to the reporters and to Sweeney himself. Reluctant to get his answers, Sweeney did not give in and asked many times the questions that were on his mind. The woman answered: 'tell him i'm going to beat him up!' She did not answer any of Sweeney's questions and he later on retreated; leaving John Sweeney still wondering whether if that young boy was still begging in Britain.
