Detectives investigating the murder
of a great-grandmother in Southampton have released further CCTV images of a
man they want to trace. Delia
Hughes, 85, was found beaten to death inside her Atlantic Close flat in Ocean
Village on 18 August.
Police believe a man seen on CCTV near her home in the morning of her
murder lives in the Woolston area of the city.
He is white and aged between 25 and 30, and described as being
"nimble and bouncy on his feet". At the time he was wearing a grey
hooded jacket, faded blue jeans, and trainers and carrying a small black
rucksack. Sixty
detectives are working on the case and are conducting house to house inquiries
at residential properties bordered by Bridge Road, Shamrock Road, Peartree Road
and Defender Road.
Police are investigating now who the CCTV person is and
they want to see if he has anything to do with the murder and they are now
suspecting he might something to do something with the murder as the CCTV was
close to Delia Hughes house which has now passed away.
This is all from Monazzam Khan,
Thank you.
